Historical Cross Country National Championships Selection Criteria
1973-1977: No Team/Individual Criteria (pay to go)
1978-1980: Unknown Regional Qualifying
1981-1986: 1 Team AQ per Region (8); 13 At-Large Teams (max 5 per Region) / 2 AQ Individuals + Top-21 at Nationals earns Region extra Q the next year
1987-1998: 1 Team AQ per Region (8); 13 At-Large Teams (max 5 per Region) / 3 AQ Individuals + Top-13 at Nationals earns Region extra Q the next year
1999-2005: 1 Team AQ per Region (8); 16 At-Large Teams (max 5 per Region) / 4 AQ Individuals + Top-15 at Nationals earns Region extra Q the next year
2006-2012: 2 Team AQ per Region (8); 16 At-Large Teams (max 5 per Region) / 7 AQ Individuals
2013-2019: 2 Team AQ per Region (8); 16 At-Large Teams (no cap) / 7 AQ Individuals
