Freshman Emmie Schmitt (Spotsylvania, VA) earned Athlete of the Week honors from the Capital Athletic Conference after leading the Captains in Vanderbilt's Commodore Classic. The first in-season USTFCCCA Regional Rankings came out this week and showed quite a bit of re-shuffling from the pre-season lists. CNU's men moved up two spots to #4 and the women vaulted four spots to #5 behind Trinity (TX), Emory, Centre,and Mary Washington. Trinity (#8) and Emory (#33) both earned National Rankings and Centre received a vote for the Top 35. The Captains will see Mary Washington this weekend at home in the short-course Settler's Invitational.
