CNU Wraps Up Indoor Campaign in Naperville

Dominique Torres (Chesapeake, VA) wrapped up the Captains' 2013 indoor season at the NCAA Division III Championships with his third best meet performance ever in the Triple Jump. The freshman landed a 14.20m/46-7.25 effort for 13th place.

All told, the 2013 Captains changed the All-Time Lists 33 times over the season ending with 26 new list entries. Included were two record-breaking performances in the Women's Distance Medley Relay, dropping the standard to 12:53.16 and then all the way to 12:37.58. The final mark was authored by Jessica McClelland (Stafford, VA), Enuma Ezenwa (Herndon, VA), Lydia Cromwell (Round Hill, VA), and Melissa Rizor (Ashburn, VA).

The Captains swept the Mason-Dixon Indoor Championships by claiming 14 Event Titles and 77 All-Conference Honors earned by 54 athletes. Daulton Teaford (Boyce, VA) was named Men's Outstanding Track Performer for the meet.

The team posted 203 Personal Records during the season in 499 opportunities. The USTFCCCA Regional Team Index listed both the men and women of CNU at #2 in the South/Southeast Region. The Captains finished on top of the South/Southeast Region Dual Meet Rankings for the men (#29 in the country) and women (#25 nationally).

Six CNU student-athletes held seven positions in the annual Division III Top-50 Lists:

Jenna Elliott (Jr.) - Women's High Jump - #48

Dominique Torres (Fr.) - Men's Triple Jump - #13

Jennifer Westerholm (Fr.) - Women's Pentathlon - #24

Enuma Ezenwa (So.) - Women's Pentathlon - #31
