CNU Adds Happy Darcus, Aimee Gibbs To Hall Of Fame
Happy Darcus was a ten time All-American in track & field at Christopher Newport and will become a Hall of Famer as well. Darcus, who ran for CNU from 2002-2005, achieved All-American status seven times in individual events. She was the National Runner-Up at the 2003 NCAA Indoor in the 55 meters, and was a three-time Mason-Dixon Conference Individual Champion.

Cross Country standout Aimee Gibbs ran for the Captains from 2000-2003 and was a four-time NCAA National Championship Qualifier. She also was a four-time USA South Conference Champion & Runner of the Year. Gibbs won the USA South's Don Scalf Award in back-to-back years and still holds CNU's fastest 5K time at 18:22.
