Nicole (Horn) Carson -- Assistant Coach, Cross Country/Distance

Assistant Coach Nicole Carson joins the CNU Track & Field/Cross Country program with a passion for Captains success. A tidewater native and lifetime runner, Carson's name still shows up on the All-Time 1500m and 5,000m lists for CNU (as Nicole Horn). One of her goals is to quickly push her own name off these lists as the team grows into what she sees as its potential and destiny. A USATF Level-I Certified Coach, her focus is on bringing each athlete to their individual potential while forming a strong team spirit where the many are stronger than the sum of the parts.

Carson has toed the line hundreds of times over the years, having experimented personally with distances from 200m through the marathon. She

has enjoyed serving as a personal coach for individual, non-collegiate and post-collegiate athletes; and is pleased to come home to a thriving program that she believes will one day break through to the national stage for both the men's and women's squads.
