On the strength of 49 PRs and 78 Season Bests at the Mason-Dixon Conference Indoor Championships, the Captains have maintained and slightly improved their National and Regional Rankings..

Captains Take High Rankings In To Final Qualifying Week

The Captains put together an outstanding all-around day at the Mason-Dixon Conference Indoor Championships, totaling 8 Conference Champions among 78 All-Conference scorers. 9 performances updated the CNU All-Time Lists. 49 of the team's performances were Personal Records and 78 registered as Season Bests.

As the Indoor season heats up with Conference Championships meets all around the country, the Captains held on to their National Meet Index Rankings - 19th for the men and 31st for the women. For a hypothetical South/Southeast Region Championship Meet, CNU ranks 2nd behind Emory for the Women and McMurry for the men.

In the Dual Meet Rankings, the Captains are still the class of the Region for both the Men and the Women. On the National Lists, the men moved up to 18th and the women rank 16th.

The final week of the season is focused on getting student-athletes in to the National Championships. Division III has gone away from fixed standards and will fill fixed fields this year. The top 13 declared men in each event will compete at the Championships along with the top 15 women. The top 10 relay teams will make the cut.
